Default Brake Lights out

The fuses all looked good but I changed the stop lamp fuse anyway. The connections on the master cylinder look good and there does not appear to be anything obviously wrong at the tail lights. Still no brake lights. All other lights working. Ideas......

Your car appears to be an SC, and I will "assume" that you've checked both brake light bulbs, so if you do not have power to your brake light bulb socket contacts, and your fuse is good, replace the pair of switches on the m/cyl.

Batman,

I had a little corrosion on the plug for the drivers side tail lamp assembly where it goes the the body into the engine compartment. If power detected to the socket, check the ground for contuinity...

The tail light circuit in the stop lamp bulb works. The bulbs look good but I changed them anyway just hoping to get lucky. I also made sure the connection to the bulbs was good. No such luck. It must be the switches on the master cylinder. I can only see one of them. The duct work must be hiding the other. That may be over my head. I’ll take a hard look at them tomorrow night.

Thanks for the advice.

Check the voltage at the BLS's if you are getting juice to the BLS's then it may be a burnt out BLS/s. The arcing will melt the plastic inside and cause failure of the contact.

If this is the case, contact me and I have a final solution for you.

why not do a little test at the switch. Take 2 wires of any switch and jump them together to see if your brake lights come on. If they do, that's it, the brake light switches are bad. I think key need to be at ON position
