Default Help. No reverse!

Hey All,
I go to put my car in reverse and it goes forward!
There are still 3 gears at the bottom, 2nd, 4th, and the 3rd makes the car go forward!
You can feel that you are not pushing the "lock out" in when you are in this mystery postion.
I pushed the car back and drove away. Check it 2 minutes later and we're good.
Go home, checked again, no reverse again.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rod

Not an expert...but one place to look would be the linkages and bushings. I first open the box just in front of the back seats on the floor. Check to see that you linkage in not slipping. There is a screw that you can tighten. Also consider your bushings in that linkage area as well as the bushings where the stick shift is at....they may be worn out. It may also be a matter of adjustment. I doubt its any more serious than that.

All linkages and bushes were changed a couple of years ago. It's all good.
Car shift amazing otherwise.
It's the intermittent part that's annoying.
Thanks
