Default ZDDP levels of various oils

Valvoline VR1 race oil has up to 1300 PPM

Castrol SYNTEC 20/50 full syn has 1200 PPM. Make sure label says "recommended for classic cars"

Red Line Synthetic has 1300 PPM

Brad Penn Grade 1 racing oil is a mineral oil with 1500 PPM

Classic Car Motor Oil made by DA Lubricants to specs for the Indiana region of the classic Car Club of America has 1500-1600 PPM.http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu9WTrM...rmotoroil.com/

Since the FTC loosened the terminology about what is labeled "semi-synthetic", the chemistry gets muddled since that could be anything from 5% to 95%,.....

American Refining Group, makers of Brad-Penn oils, calls the 20w-50 racing oil, a semi-synthetic product. I'm in no position to dispute that since they do not reveal the details of their chemical composition, nor the processes used in the manufacture.

That said, its really a great product and does the job that I expect.

Speaking of such subjects Guess where I took the wife for our summer vacation ......

Needless to say I think we are going to Hawaii next year

There's also Mobil 1 15W-50 Silver Cap @ 1200 ppm
