Headlight Dimmer/Turn Signal Switch
Guys,
Seems my headlight dimmer switch is on the Fritz, I tried it a few days ago and some smoke poured out the housing so immediately turned it off. Seems I need to replace entire switch and lever, can anyone who has done this tell me if P/N 911-613-305-01-M78 is correct for an 82 SC? Thx

I'm not sure about the P/N. Maybe call the Dealership locally and ask.
what I am sure about is you need to re-wire your headlights with a relay that will take the load off your dimmer switch and save you grief down the road. The relay kits are easy to install (about an hour, if you go slow), and will save your future switches. The relay will also brighten your headlights just a tad because it sends power directly to your headlights from the battery instead of up to the dash, through the switches, and back to the lights.
Good luck.
