Been a stressful week. Been meaning to detail my 1988 Carrera since I took it to the track last weekend and finally got to it. Great way for me to unwind. Thought it looked pretty good when I got done so I decided to take a couple pics. My dad bought this car almost 20 years ago to the day, when I was 14. I took care of it like it was my baby when I was a teenager and was very fortunate that he saved it for me. I bought it from him a year ago next month. Still love it like the day he brought it home. So many good memories with him around it.
Definitely like it. Those ruf wheels are the only other wheels besides Fuchs that I like on the impact bumper cars. If you have more pics fell free to share. Would like to see more.
Beautiful car. Love the RUF wheels too. I can only hope my son or daughter (ages 5 and 8) will share my love of these cars and will take care of mine some day.
Thanks. That's a 129,000 mile car you're looking at. You'd never know. I'll have to snap some pics of the interior. It has the 930S steering wheel and center console. The interior is almost showroom condition. My dad really took care of this thing.
Here's one more from today and another of me and my now departed twin turbo at a track day where they both got to run.
Looks really nice... any tricks to getting the black bits extra black? I've used back to black in the past but I need to spend a lot more time detailing it before it approaches yours.
