Default How many Speedometer pulses on a 915?

First, I looked everywhere for this and can't find it.

In the 84-86 Carrera cars with a 915 trans they use a sensor on the final drive to generate speedometer pulses. Does anyone know how many pulses are generated per turn of the final drive shaft?

I'm setting up my WideBandO2 setup to record and display speed in MPH and need this information.

Figured I'd ask before I go trying to count them with a scope.

Thanks.

I answered my own question, the sensor reads its signal from a wheel/hub with 8 magnets located in the trans. This wheel/hub spins at the same speed as the rear wheels. So you get 8 pulses for every rear wheel rotation.

8 pulse per rear wheel spin.

For anyone intrested, you get 1.8 pulses per second for each MPH.

This means that at 100MPH the speedo sees 180/second.
