Question if we talk about engine oil leaks !

If we talk about engine oil leaks, how is you engine ? Perfectly dry and leakless or, a few leaks or, leaving a few spots when resting or, you must put a pan under it every time you stop ?

Mine's been essentially leak free for the couple of years I've owned it with just a few seemingly random couple of drip leaks which were spaced many months apart. It hasn't leaked at all for about a year now. I recently adjusted the valves(not once but three times on the same set of new non silicone gaskets ;-) ) and it's remained leak free fortunately.

Mine's completely leak free, but it's also really low miles, which might be why.

Leak free as well. The bottom of the lower valve covers are 'moist' but don't leak as far as I can tell, it may have to do with my decision to reuse my el-cheapo gaskets, washers, and nuts.

I did get a horrid leak shortly after purchase. The oil pressure switch went and when that thing goes it really goes. Embarrassing sitting in traffic when smoke is pouring out everywhere.

When I drive mine in the summer, it is completely leak free. When I put it away for the winter, it leaks all over the place. I store it in an unheated garage, so it is probably things expanding and contracting at different rates that creates openings. In the summer, there is none of that.

Mine doesn't leak a drop. I did have a few drops seeping out the right side cam tower oil line a few years ago, but replaced it and she's been totally dry since.

If mine was a boat it would have sunk long ago.

It may not be that bad but it does have a couple leaks that I have not been able to pinpoint where they are coming from. The bottom side of my engine needs a good cleaning before i can locate the scource.
I dont need a pan, but I do place a small patch of carpet under the car while its in the garage.

I am pretty sure my valve cover gaskets are leaking.

I have a slight leak from the engine oil cooler tank which very slowly drips onto the right side heat exchanger. It never drips enough to leave a drop on the road but it's there alright. Mind you, it has been there for about two years and never got to the point that forces me to do something about it.

Mine was completely leak-free for over 4 years, until - out of the blue - it started leaking a few weeks ago. Not consistently, but if I have been driving it hard, I find one or two oil drops right underneath the engine next morning. Don't know what causes this...

Definitely not leak free. The worst offender is an intermittent leak. No drips for a while, then it'll leave an Exxon Valdez oil slick. I believe it's the oil return tube O-rings. Upon cool down and engine contraction, sometimes they seal good, other times not so good. Valve covers have been pretty good. Seepage but no dripping. I always park with cardboard under the engine. Doesn't everybody? LOL
