Anyone know of a decent shop in Boston?
I just moved to Newton from the West coast, and have a '77 911S and just want a shop that does good work and works well with do-it-yourselfers who don't make a gazillion dollars and are ok with used parts. My car is my daily driver and I just need a shop to do those little technical things that I can't do myself and who won't charge me a fortune.
Something along the lines of John Walker in Seattle or Axel Konrad in Connecticut if any of you know those guys. They rock, I just need someone like that here.
I also need a body shop. Someone backed into my rear quarterpanel back in Seattle and I need the dent taken out.
I also need to get a Massachusetts state inspection soon, any suggestions on where to get that done? How much does that typically cost?

I live in Boston and use European Performance Engineering in Natick (they recently moved, so call first). Their old location had a body shop next to it that Jerry (the owner of EPE) recommended. They did a fine job taking out a rust spot on the door sill of my 86; I believe the name of the shop is West Foreign Auto Body.

2nd for EPE, they do quality work and have gone above and beyond in helping me out in the past.
As for inspection, any garage that has the sticker machine can do it, $29 flat fee, welcome to taxachusetts.

Just got back from my first visit to Jerry's new shop. Wow! What a difference.
It must be four times the workspace of the previous location plus a show room.
He also eliminated the cramped parking area. Congrat's Jerry.
No affiliation, yada, yada, yada.
