I just recieved a Carrera emblem, original, perfect condition. I believe it is from 1972 beacause it is a metal Badge and after that Porsche did viynl script. Am I correct with this info? It is black with the "RS" painted silver. Just because I am curious.... What is this worth? I am NOT selling, just curious.

What you are describing is the schriftzug which carries a Porsche part number of 911 559 317 00 and listed in 1985 for DM 17,15.

Literally "signature" I can't recall when they switched to the decals, but I picked up one of those for a friend many years ago and that's the information off the Porsche AG invoice.

Thanks for the info. I believe they switched to vinyl in 73. Anyway it is a nice peice to add to my collection. Maybe I'll build a 72 RS and have the correct badge for it. One part at a time.
