Do I need special tool for 02 sensor?

OK, I've talked myself into replacing the O2 sensor.
Do I need the special tool Pelican sells? (22mm deep socket, line wrench style).
Pelican sells a sensor without the grommet - which sounds like a problem to me. I know what a nightmare the grommets were on the cylinder head temperature sensor. Do I need to find another source for one with a grommet?
