Never seen this before. Also note name of dealer "Shamburg"...they could have picked a better name.

That was by far the most painful link ever posted on Rennlist. I really hope it started with a salvage title.
Now I am really going to loose sleep. I mean why? Why? Who would do that? The place in Las Vegas that does it at least does it clean.

I dunno, it's not for me but it looks like the guy spared no expense on running gear and went a little (OK, maybe a lot) crazy on the stereo and it looks pretty good from a distance. Some rust inside the engine bay and underneath on a lot of the tinware, so I'm not sure what kind of story that tells. I wouldn't consider doing anything like this but hey, if the guy had $100k laying around and ran out of storage space for it, what the hell. It was probably a better investment than my stock portfolio over the last year or so.

personally i prefer mine and it has no where those kinds of dollars and has just as much if not more upgrades including dart all aluminum 434 sbc with 585 chp, 930 transaxle, etc!

It doesn't look bad, but I still can't understand why people do the whole V-8 swap. I'm not stating this from a purist's perspective, as they can do whatever they want to their car. But, why screw up a fundamental design that has existed for more than 40 years?
It's a useless mod, as there is no way a V-8 powered 911 will outdrive my measily 240HP flat six in the twisties or on the track. Short ***** syndrome at it's highest level.
Oh wait, it allows one to race Nox Hondas from light to light.

maxwedge528, You kept the beauty of the original car intact. The car in the link was destroyed with all the crap plastic stuck to the outside and sterio overtaking the interior. Your car, I love it!

thanks doug for the kind comment. the car is very well done, lightweight , with major suspension and brake upgrades, weight distribution is almost the same as original and the car goes very well on the street or in the twisties. but for as for ed, he was a bit harsh. as i am almost 70 years of age i am not too sure of his logic and will leave it at that....but ...maybe break out the old 78 930 for fun and games. it is a bit overweight at 2350 pounds and a tad low on horsepower at 500 chp. oh well!!!

One wonders what $69k could have done had the build been based around the original Porsche engine, or Porsche "up"grade.
It's sickening to me too.
And h3ll, THAT one didn't even have a safe in it, so, Pffft!
