Default Climate Control relocation

I am considering moving the head unit down into a new center console and am thinking of filling the hole with the Climate Control and other bits from the original location similar to the 993 setup. anybody see any real issues in doing this apart form the obvious in not sticking to original.

Wire length is probably the only part that will cause you issues.
Of course making the filler panel and doing the ****/control layout will not be straightforward, but other than that.....

It is yours, do it if you like it.

clever photochopping Dave, as Dan said I think the only issue will be extending the wires.

You can use a factory radio delete plate and drill the ***** though it:

Had another look at it and I think I will go with the radio delete plate and leave climate control basically where they are but below Head Unit.

Use care and caution when moving the ac thermostat (snow flake ****). If you bend, kink or break the aluminum capillary tube, between the evaporator and thermostat, gas will escape and the thermostat will not work (no ac); can't be repaired, only replaced.

OK............I removed the switch and it flew to pieces! Unfortunately while trying to reassemble it....................guess what.............I kinked the capillary tube and it's completely screwed now! Where can I get a replacement?..............Anyone got a spare they would like to sell me?....or is there a way to bypass the thermostat?
Dave............the idiot!

DAVE!
Hey, how are you? More importantly, where are you?

I'm in Newman in Western Australia. Playing in the construction game. I fly into Melb on the 19th. How long are you back for?
