Default Ok you guys convinced me....

maybe I should lower my car to euro spec.
Is this job all labor? Or do parts need to be replaced/added?
I will have it professionally done, I do not trust myself or my patience. How much should I expect to pay for a job like this?

thanks, leo

If you live in the Los Angeles area you are within driving distance of the best 911 suspension tech anywhere. If you are in L.A. let me know. Otherwise, expect to pay between $400-600 for the whole job; lower, align, and corner balance.

"Maybe"?? No maybe's about. Our cars 'must' be lowered

Although it's mostly labor, unless parts have been replaced, it's a good time to do it now. When I had my car lowered (a tad below euro spec), I had new shocks (Bilstein HD) put in, turbo tie rod upgrade, new bushings, bump steer kit, corner balanced, aligned. 8 yrs ago, this cost me $1300. But boy, what a difference it made. Handling was transformed, evident on my first turn.

If you don't mind taking a 45 min drive into Jersey on 78, see Will D at Precision Motorsports Racing in Califon.

Looks to me like the front has been lowered too much. Look for 24 1/2 front 25 1/2 rear from the ground to the fender edge measuring thru the center of the wheel on level ground. A Porsche dealer did a wheel alignment on my 78 for $149.95 and that included ride height. Call around.
