Every time I try to upload I get an error message.

959 kb, I guess its to big, how do I make file smaller?

Click on the photo. Right-click the mouse on "Open With". Open with Microsoft Picture Manager. Click on "Edit Photo". Look to the right for "Resize". There will be a drop-down that allows you to pick "Websize".

If you don't have Microsoft Picture Manager you can download it from the Microsoft website.

Another good download (freeware) is Irfanview. It's a great image viewer, does manual or automatic resizing for one or a batch of files (with adjustible compression for jpgs), slideshows, automatically prepares html web pages of images, complete with thumbnails.
