Default DShepp806, Lookie whats back on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...3756.m14.l1318

You are bidding on a very clean 1987 Porsche 911. This vehicle has been redone from top to bottom. I bought this vehicle from an individual in Fl. He has made this vehicle near perfect. You will not be able to find a cleaner, nicer (looks and handling) porsche for the money. The previous owner said he had over 25 thousand dollars invested into the vehicle. He had the vehicle entirely repainted. Not a tape and mask job. He said he spent 3000 dollars on the paint job alone. The only thing I can find is a small paint blemish in the paint where the tail connects to the vehicle. I will provide a picture. The carpet and leather are brand new with zero apologies. The headliner is original and in good condition. There is a crack on the dash, which is common in those years. I will include a picture of the dash. I was told to buy a non-cracked dash it would be 600 dollars. I was also told that a leather guy could fix the dash for less than 100 dollars. Sunroof, power windows, power locks, A/C all work. The radio is a sony cd player. The only problem I have discovered is the power seat lumbar button is inop. (However the seat still adjusts)

Mechanically the vehicle is very strong and performs excellant. I have driven newer porsche's and this one handles extremely well compared to the other ones costing triple the price. Whoever buys this vehicle will not be unhappy. I carried the vehicle to Atlanta to have it serviced at Strickly Foreign, a porsche enthusiast. I told him I was going to sell the vehcile and to make sure the vehicle was serviced and inspected. As he questioned me concerning the car, I told him the engine had a preformance chip (informed by previous owner) in it and asked how I could prove it. He said he would have to pull out the computer. After driving the vehicle he said it feels as if there was, but I do not know the manufacturer. He also said the exhaust alone was a very pricey upgrade. Just the parts would cost $3000 with another $1500 dollars in labor. He told me the clutch was good, compression on all the cylinders tested out at 160-170 psi. For the mechanical buyer you are more than welcome to call Richie at 770-382-4500 to answer more detailed questions. For the non-mechanical buyer, the vehicle is strong, well maintained, and NO oil leaks.

I am selling this vehicle to replace some money in savings I used as a downpayment on lake property. I rarely ever drive this vehicle as it is garage kept, and whoever buys it will be very pleased. This vehicle has a clean carfax and has no indications or reports of any collisions of any kind.

I am having to relist this vehicle due to a deadbeat flake who couldn't finance lettuce on a hamburger. This vehicle is up for sale to sell! I have a low reserve. The low NADA Retails shows this vehicle at $18400 and a high retail $24000. The reserve is set much lower for a quick clean sell. If any buyers would like to contact me personally my cell number is 478-957-5016 (Michael). I own this vehicle with a clear title. If you are a deadbeat flake please do not waste my time or yours by bidding.

Good luck and happy bidding

I am pretty sure that he is referring to me as the deadbeat flake that didn't buy his car after you looked at it and-"Oh by the way, the Odometer broke on my way to the PPI"

Just a feeble attempt at humor...the ebay moron suggested that "you" couldn't afford lettuce, so I was suggesting that we all pitch in and buy you some lettuce. He's the one that's clueless imo...

I didn't even read the lettuce part in the ad! That is great!

I am all for a group handout!

I don't think that I would drop any of it on this car though. Doyle went there and pointed out the oh so many flaws that were absent in the Ebay listing. I should have known since it was priced very low. The best line ever was that he just noticed that day that the odometer broke.

Maybe I missed something. What is wrong with the car? Sometimes my reading ability is not what it could be.

UserA: Did this gent know that I looked at it? Sounds like it....hopefully not my name, right? More specifically, did he know it was being looked at by a local Porsche (1989) owner? As you recall, we never got past the visuals, insofar as driving it (if you recall, you wished to go no further). Looking at all that was not cosmetically represented (and at the general state of the car),...throwing in the speedo story (and that could have been true,..but I doubt it),...who knows what else lurked within,...I did see some rust areas for sure. As well, looking at the assymetrical body seams (bonnet top), I would ask about a wreck in it's past.......

......the Fram oil filter just didn't "sit" right with me........................pissed me off.

.Hell, I oughta' go thrash her about the biways..........WAIT! ,......on the other hand, maybe he's waiting, with a frikin' shotgun, for the local-yokal deal buster (me) to show up on his front porch.

Based on my conversation with you,...no doubt: NOT what you were looking for....I'm quite sure that when that shipment would have arrived in Philly, you'd have been a bit upset.

Best,

Doyle

Here's that "good condition" original headliner (I know, some will say, "Hey, I can fix that"!!!) I'm saying something like this should be mentioned in the ad (period):

And here's that bonnet seam that was quite apparent (at least to my eyes,..looking to be quite a cavern):
