Don't do it. A '74 and an '80's Carrera are two TOTALLY different animals. Any pre '76 is going to have the potential for corrosion damage, IMO. Especially since you used the descriptor Pristine.

you could try a tent type of cover I have not got one but the three ledaers from friends exp. are the CARCOON AIRCHAMBER & AUTOPOD.... see

As other posts have said even in dry garage enviroment older (non galvanized) cars will suffer from rust even from humidity - protect it - but use it and love it - My car is used reg. but lives in climate controlled de-humid garage... but I want it for the rest of my life & then my sons.
