Default Wheel Hubs on 911 SC

Hi
I want to adjust the front wheel bearings on the SC which sounds like it should be simple but I can't get get the dust covers off. Do i need a special tool to pull it off. It was easy on my Beetle!

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Thanks

You can also put the middle side of a large end wrench into the groove between the hub and cover, and hit the opposite side of the wrench with a hammer (mallet if it's a special wrench - I had an old crappy wrench that never touched a nut or bolt, it just removed dust covers!). That method usually let's you do the job without leaving marks on the cover...

i tightened on a 2" muffler clamp and wedged it off. it was a REAL bastard the first time. After that it was easy.
