rnln: Nope, it worked out fine. I was concerned about that so I made sure the blocks weren't so thick it would be an issue. Also, I put a taller shift **** on which may have benefited me.

Spider911: Thanks for the info. With the blocks sandwiched between two sheets of metal, I think they'll hold up. Hey - they are in way better shape than my OE wood floor boards
