OEM Denso A/C Compressor Rattle
Gentelmen & Ladies,
As you may recall I had a heart attack thinking a rattleing noise had come from my C-Tens but later with Dr. Peter Zimmermann's tutoring found it was my AC compressor. ( Thanks Dr. Z)
I replaced the A/C clutch bearing and placed a shim to proper gap and it still rattles but less frequently.
I am trying to understand, if the AC is not engaged shouldn't the A/C clutch be the only thing spinning ergo cause of the rattle or does the internal bearings spin as well?
Also would low A/C oil be a culprit?
TIA
I am looking to go with the Sanden 507, Mounting Plate, Pro-Cooler Drier sticking with R12 per AC guys recommendations. but would like to see if I can resolve the issue.
If interested, I took pics of my A/C Clutch bearing replacement, quite easy with all the proper tools (FREE at Autozone)
