No, I'm just sweating smogging my '84. If I found a SWEET '75 or older roller, I could swap all of my expensive stuff over, and not have to stress over it.

Texas wasn't a cakewalk, but I had a couple of sources where I could pay a couple of hundred bucks for the "no hassle" method of inspection. I may end up throwing my old exhaust on and detuning her and see what I get.

The point was its mileage, condition, and one owner coolness. I guess not worth 15000?

A little steep maybe, depends on who built the motor, specs, etc. He says he spent $15K on it recently, what all was done?

'76 is the worst possible year to buy in CA, you really do need the awful thermal reactors to pass smog, not to mention the smog pump, both of which make the engine run far too hot if left on after you're done smogging it. Combine this w/ the usual 2.7 problems and I'd pass on this one . . . . besides, what is wrong w/ the car you have now? From what I saw it looked pretty nice, plus it seems like you're dumping a bunch of money into it that you won't get back if you sell it.

Not selling my car droops, was thinking for my brother Now if only I can find where in the bentley manual it tells me how to take my top off so I can start recarpeting the area with the cab motor.
