Default Rear torsion bar support repair

On my recently acquired '68 911 coupe I need to repair the metal below my rear torsion bars, where they are supported by the body structure at either end. Age and improper jacking have left me with torn metal and rust at the bottom of the structure. The rest of the area surrounding the bar ends looks solid, but may be weakened - won't know til I cut into it. Anyone have any advice or reference to a source of info?

Search "Wevo sway bar"at Pelican. There is one very detailed post on repair/replace.
