Default oil line question

I've read where you can take one of these lines pictured and cut the fittings off to use on longer hose for a front mount cooler setup. I took one to 2 different hydraulic hose places and they say the fittings are one piece and can't be broken apart and reused. Has anyone done this?

thanks

Yeah I agree with Ice on that. Those are single use crimp-on fittings and those are singled out. If its a decent shop they should be able to make up what you need. Or go to Earl's preformance.

I was trying to use what I already have on hand. It's strange so many people would recommend cutting them off and reusing them when in fact you can't.

Having the hydraulic shop make some up for me has been much harder to accomplish than I could ever imagine. I went to 4 shops and none of them carry a 30mm fitting with 1.5mm threads. They all have 30mm with 2mm threads. Anyway, the 5th shop I went to can order them so I guess I'll be calling them. One of the shops said I could reuse my 90 degree fitting like the picture below. Is this possible or is it a one use fitting like the straight ones?

Thats a crimp-on also. I don't know how you would reuse it.
