I usually post in the watercooled section...now I am a new owner of 1983 cab.
If anyone knows how I can get a hold of an owners manual or if you have one or if you are near Ventura/Thousand Oaks area and can lend it to me so I can copy it, I will be much very greatful.\
thank you,
abe.....I can't believe it owner for one day and already asking for help
I downloaded a scan of a 1982 manual from simon@adelgigs.com. You have to make a donation to him for the unlock code. Then send the pdf off to mimeo.com or someone else for a quality printing job. Or spend $110 at http://www.retromotorworks.com/index...ROD&ProdID=497 for a reproduction. If you happen to score one on ebay, I'll be extremely jealous.
These are reproductions? I need one for my '81 SC. It came with a turbo manual. Grrr! The guy appraising the car was a little disappointed it wasn't quite right.
http://coochas.com/ He has brochures available on his site and it says owner's manuals available soon. I printed up a copy of the 1981 brochure to keep with my 1981. I have the 1981 owner's manual that my car came with.

But he did love the car.
I might have an extra. I'll have to go through the archives. Send me a PM with your address.
I do have an original sales brochure in mint condition with the tech specs inside.
I have a 1982 manual that you can copy. I think it is pretty much the same as the 83. It is in Huntington Beach.
If this is the spiral bound owners/drivers manual that goes in the glove box pouch, and your SC is an '83 - have I got a deal for you!!! My car, as you know, is an '82, but my book (in fair/good condition) is for an '83 car. So, you have an '83 car w/'82 book, I have an '82 car w/'83 book. Hmmmmm...

Pete, we can do that. I will ask my son to mail it to you from SoCal and you can send yours if the 1982 book is acceptable. Will call the kids at the end of this week and they should send next week. Your elec sheets will leave Dallas Thurs. Maybe we should look at a swap for your '82. I currently have 26 head of prime beef at about 20,400 pounds or so. However, there could be a shippinbg problem with UPS. BUT, you could retire your lawn mower and save a bunch on gas.

Outstanding! I'll look at my '83 book later and advise if it has any glitches. About the trade for my '82, boy would bringing in a herd **** off the neighbors!!!
Actually, I've just bought a whale tail for my '82 (the tail is at the painter's as I write this), and I'm going to put on a chin spoiler (I'm still looking for a good one) - I've decided to keep the car based on; (1) I'd be stupid to sell it to buy an unknown, and (2) It's a great car, so instead of selling I decided to play with it instead.

From all the comments that I have read and posted myself, I want to assure you that there are many overjoyed P folks here, learning that you are keeping the SC. Absolutely the right thing to do, great, good show. The P world seems correct again.
