Default Fuel tank hex fitting size

Hello all,

Newbie here with a new-to-me '86 Carrera with 138k on the clock. I've got a small-ish laundry list on this car, most due to the very little use it got over the past five or six years.

One item at the top of my list is a small fuel leak from the fitting on the bottom of the gas tank, which according to parts diagrams is a mesh strainer of sorts. I suspect the rubber gasket is perished; a new one is on its way from Pelican.

Does anybody know what size hex wrench/bit is required to remove that fitting? Spent a good amount of time searching with no success.

Great forum here with lots of good topics and good humor!

Thanks,

Tim
