Catchy title , eh?

Seriously, just wondering if anyone out there has a Carrera (circa '84) whale tail (o.e., of course) that they want to part with. It must be in excellent condition, I do not need the deck lid part, only the tail, rubber surround (lip?), under-lid supports and base gasket.

pm me with details please...
Thanks!

Dumb question: How does one become a user/member of Pelican and be able to post replies, etc...?

Pete, don't do it! If you do it then I'll be preshured into doing it. It's a habit best left alone. We can fight this thing. Betty Ford did it. Walk away.

Just follow the steps. Careful who you purchase from, there has been more than one scammer there. Make sure they aren't a newbie who signed up 2 days before and has 3 posts.

Doug,

Don't worry. I have been a member there as long as I have been one here. I hardly post there. It's just got more volume that's all, better for classifieds and searching out bizarre threads. I have my own opinions about pelican but I will keep those to myself or to PM.

I'm thinking about selling mine but we're a bit too far apart. What would be an average price for an OE whale tail ?

I think for a used one it's about 400-500 people try to sell them for. I am sure if you search it out you can see what previous ones sold for.

Thanks, jerry. I just checked it out; too bad that it's a 3.3 tail - which I don't care for on a narrow-bodied car.

A nice Rennlister has contacted me about a Carrera tail, and I'm waiting for pictures as we speak...

Nah, you're good - I'm probably too fussy!
