Post Engine pictures? (3d model)

Hello,

I'm currently re-creating the (#7) porsche 911 that ran in the U2 class in the Trans Am series. It's a 3d model I made through a program called Zmodeler. I'm in a crisis though.

The back bumper was taken off and the engine is exposed (in real life). The problem I'm having is trying to guess what the engine looks like so I can model it. I'm not really sure on how the chassis or suspension is constructed either.

I guess what I'm asking for is some pics of the underbody/engine of an early 911. They would help me tremendously. Also, if anyone has any ideas on what mods the engine had, feel free to share, Thankyou for all of your help!

Here are some pics of the Trans-am #7 Porsche (In progress)

I don't, sorry. But that looks pretty cool. Did you do that modeling? Free style or from a dim dwg? I do Solid modeling with CATIA, but not sure that I could do that.

Of course I modeled it! I used blueprints (dimension drawings) to put in the back ground and started my mesh with a flat surface. Then I added polygons and extruded the mesh..

this car will be in a race sim later on when it's finished *cough* engine pics.... thanks everyone if you can help!

Ok, Ok. Here is a picture of the engine in my old SC. Not the greatest, hope it helps.

BTW I'm an "Old-Time" graphic artist (pen-n-ink!!!). Your tools are totally gnarly.

Cool

A picture of an engine on a stand with Webers would be perfect. To much stuff on our fuel injected engines.
