Default Steve W. a question

Steve
A few months ago you stated my car would run better with the oxy sensor disconnected. The weather has changed for the better somewhat and the question I have is this. Will I have to adjust mixture, timing or anything else.
Thanks for the time.

Yessir, you need to use an exhaust gas analyzer or AFR meter to set the fuel mixture at 2.5% CO.

Timing remains unchanged.

This brought back a thought of the O2 sensor on the 3.2 engine. How many are running them with the O2 sensor disabled or disconnected?

None in CA, they must be functional to pass smog testing, as do '80-83 SCs!

Steve,

I have a Wideband O2 setup what AFR is = to 2.5% CO? I have wondered about this for some time now.

At idle fully warn I have simply set the AFR to 14.7 via the CO screw on the AFM.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info.

So what AFR would you set the 3.2L Carrera at idle with O2 disconnected?

I figured set it slightly rich 14.2 or so and then let the O2 sensor pickup the slack.

Would love to hear what others have to say.

I run mine at 14.0 without the o2 sensor.
that 50/60rpm swing that the o2 sensor demands of the brain irritates me
