Post Another Newbie

Just wanted to say Hello to all.

I'm a new owner of an 86 Coupe, been lurking here for awhile during the buying/shopping process. I'm looking forward to the great advice I see on this board as my ownership experience continues.

Hi John, good to hear from a fellow newbie.
I hope ownership of your first Porsche lives up to your expectations, I've had my '83SC for 3 years now and it still makes me smile!

Regards, Jon.

Also from a newbie, congrats on the purchase and welcome to a family that I have found to be very helpful and caring.

WW,

I searched in earnest for 6 months, the usual places...cars.com, autotrader.com, ebay, etc., local shops. Found it on cars.com, located not too far from me. I looked at several, this was the one.

Congrats John! But as a fellow Indy guy, I must say, do your shopping at Auto Free Finders "peoples marketplace"!

Cool

Congrats John! Good choice on a first Porsche.

I noticed you're an Indy resident..do you have a good mechanic yet? I used to live in the Indy area and can highly recommend Terry Heath at Euromotorworks. (http://www.euromotorworks.com) Very professional shop, good people. Tell him Doug C from Cincinnait said hello! (ok, he may not remember me, but you never know!)

Best of luck and enjoy the Porsche!

Douglas_T,
I looked at auto free finders, nothing of interest.

DougC,
Terry Heath will be the mechanic of choice. Hopefully I won't need hime anytime soon.

M Fig,
I have several pics, not sure how to post on here.

Congrats, and welcome to the madness

I also drive a Guard's Red '86 coupe w/ F+R spoilers. Tho' i've got Fuchs.
Your engine compartment is esp clean too. Rare for a mid-80's vintage car. Nice.

What's the milage on your car, and if you don't mind, approx how much $$ did you pay?
Wondering what the value of my car is.

Mike
