ice: Yes, it's on Speed. Qualifying is 11:00 pm (pst) tonight, the race is on tomorrow (Sat) night. DC had a big moment in practice - I can't believe how those cars come apart after they've been airborne or hit a berm of some sort. Enjoy!

I would think yes, when I can't find something in the schedule I scroll forward (I have DirecTV) in the on-screen guide and find it that way. I don't have TIVO, but I do have an old receiver that has a record option (you remember, I think they call it VHS). I'll probably record qualifying, and watch the race tomorrow night. Good luck finding it, I think the race usually starts a half hour later than the previous day's qualifying (I never pay attention, I just hi-lite it on the screen).

a vcr ? I didn't know we had technology yet that could record video onto magnetic tape ... I'll have to go out and get one of those fancy hi end machines :-)

Looks like the race is on @ 2:30am Eastern... I usually tivo these early season races and watch them in the morning. The three of us US F1 fans could complain to Bernie and see if he'll change the start times while keeping the US in mind ;-)
Red Bull was called in to the stewards to explain how they can consider their cars raceworthy considering the failure DC had on Friday... they should also be looking at the brake failures they've had.
Steve Matchett has a good RPM video posted on speedtv.com that shows the differences between the Red Bull and STR braking systems(none).
Go Lewis!

I am not surprised as DC's car just kind of disintegrated going over the rumble strips . albeit if I remember correctly from the grass side .

Massa on pole, Kovalainen quicker than Hamilton...wow, this might be a race! And yes, it appears that Red Bull has some 'splainen (sorry Heiki) to do!

I thought the race was great, but would still like to know what happened to Massa. Has anyone heard if his car broke when he spun, or did he make a mistake? It sure didn't sound like he did anything wrong watching from on-board... I loved the three wide bit coming down the straight when Heidfeld got past Alonso and somebody else - that alone was worth watching. Tell me you don't like seeing F1 cars sideways again - yee-haw!

Even the diehard tifosi on Fchat have had it with Massa . . .
"Bottom line is that Massa got the Ferrari seat because of his manager being Todt's son and because Schumi always wanted a controllable #2. Like any #2 at Ferrari he is not there because he is a WDC in the making, but a water carrier for the #1 driver. . . .
With no protection from Todt anymore, how much longer will he keep his seat? My crystal ball says until the end of this season, then he'll be sitting his contract out in a Toro Rosso or Farce India, rides more suitable to his talents."

Hamilton's on a learning curve now - he's got to learn to take care of his tires, brakes, etc. Last year's car was so much better than everyone else all he had to do was drive. This year he has to become involved at a mental level as well - can't be getting those brakes so hot that the wheel nut won't come off!

This is so much better than the schumi shuffle that lasted for so many years. Hats off to his talent & the Ferrari team, but it got so boring. Last year was great. I just wish they would leave the rules alone for a season or 2 now that TC is gone.
