Default obscure movie spotting

We all know the normal movies 911s are in.

I was just watching 1975 "The Killer Elite" with Robert Duval and James Caan.

There Caan drove a 74 or 75 purple 911 targa. A nice shot of it pulling into a garage where you could really hear the flat six.

Also a shot of it pulling alongside of a 914 so makes me think, being in advertising as I am, that Porsche had a product placement deal in this bomb of a movie.

There were ninjas in this film, they were not needed.

A quickie scene in Bird of a Wire with Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson....an black older 911 at a used car dealership starts up and pulls out in front of them.

"Day After tomorrow" some guy gets flatened in his Porsche. If I remember correctly there may be a blooper in this movie as it does a close up of him starting it and the shot is of a standard igntion ( right of the steering whel ) Anyone got this movie so thay can verify ?

It also tends to be the bad guys that are driving the 911 in movies. Or at least it seems that way

Wasn't there a movie in the late '60s (?) called "Changes" in which a 356 Speedster played a very big part?

That recent movie Failure to Launch...nice long hood throughout the entire movie.

Tv shows...that new lawyer show...Cantaberry Law or something like that...she drives another cool long hood. There was another recent new show that the lady drove a Porsche...ended up hitting a bum with it.

My fave series on Showtime or HBO cant remember... Californication...Dave Decovny drives a 964 convet thats pretty trashed out...gets a baseball bat to the front wing from a pissed off husband after he screws the guys wife. Finally trades the car in on a 996 convert, only to get it stolen the same day.

My favourite Porsche movie is still "No Man's Land". Ahhh, the days when owning a porsche was so out of reach it was not even funny. Mind you, I was only 15 years old when it came out.

Actually, after writing this, I decided to buy No Man's Land on amazon.com and ordered Uncommon Valour and The Final Countdown as well. Both amazing movies if someone is looking for a blast from the past.
