Although, one wonders if your 911 would have been able to stop in time or maneuver out of the way. It should be more nimble than your van.

This exact event following a tractor trailer happened to a friend of mine on I-75 just south of Knoxville. In his case, it did come through the center of the windshield, took of the review mirror went between both of his kids in the back seat and smashed the back window of the car but did not go through. Needless to say, someone was watching over them that day. Had it come through just to the left or just to the right it could have been a completely different story. Glad you are ok Ice!

This same thing happened to my wife except that the piece of steel did go through her window and landed on the back seat. She had to move her head to avoid getting hit by it. Since then, I never use trucks as a cop blocker. I think I would rather get a speeding ticket.

Glad to hear you are alright Clive!

Glad you are safe, Iceman. Now put that hockey stick back on before something really bad happens!

When The car fires up for the Spring ..... I will hang out the Avatar . As Frank Suggested, he uses it to tell our driving season here as the car is away , so is the Avatar :-)

About six years ago, I had a dream that I backended a Truck. Very bad dream.

I never follow trucks. Ever.

I am so glad you are OK. Are you sure you're not Irish ?

So it's Happy Birthday Iceman, happy birthday. Glad to hear you are OK. At least it wasn't a dear, or an entire semi.
