![Question](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Anyone know of a place where I can have my car (1975 911S Coupe)upgraded or order a body kit for a DIY Project? I had one quote of $25,000 and I am looking more in the $10,000 range. Found several older Porsche magazines with 993 upgrades, but they all seem to have went out or changed names. Any connections/ideas? Here is the car as it looks now the Avatar I have is the look I want. Thanks

try better bodies, they have just about anything you could want. If not try A.I.R. they also have a big selection of body parts and conversions.

Not so sure it that site will help, since it seems to be mostly for 993 bodywork. The car in the avatar is a 993RS. Now something somewhat similar was the famous Ruf "Yellow bird" (based on a Carrera 3.2 body):

I ordered the bumpers from Ruf for my old SC:

Is this what you might be looking for? If so, contact Ruf in the U.S.

Where are you located?
Rennspeed Motorsport in L.A. is a very affordable parts supplier. Email Peter at:
Rennspeed@4dcomm.com
<a href="http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62638" target="_blank">See this thread, too.</a>
I also know of a shop in L.A. that does a lot of the 993 conversions very affordably (affordably for L.A., at least).

Thanks for the answers...I do like the RUF Yellow Bird, and the looks of the 993 upgrade. I have found that I can order all the parts through performance products for just over $3000.00, and then I would just have to have a respectable body shop do the work/paint and hope this all comes out for under $10000.00

Great topic.
I've been looking at BB's SKT Mega III body kit. Looks great. Talked to several people that said BB produces quality kits with good fit'n finish.
Keep us posted on what you decide.
I've seen a couple 'yellow-bird' kits and I didn't like the fit of the front turn signal lens.
My two cents...
