Default ...Let's talk spark plugs.

I am looking at a weekend weather report in the 80's and I'm thinking about the clock ready to turn 70,000 miles. I got the car at 54,000 and have not done the plugs. Performance Products lists four plugs from Bosch and one from NGK. I'd like to stay in the Bosch group of plugs and want some advice.

1. 903524 $1.95
2. 903530 $1.95
3. 903531 $3.95
4. 903690 $5.95

I'm sure all are good plugs but is one better for a stock 3.2? Yes, I run the good juice and have brand new plug wires and have 10,000 miles on the distributor cap. What do you think?

Personally, I would only run the plug that the manual states and no others.

thanks guys I agree....Will do.

It's funny, I remember that my 1979 RM80 took an NGK B8EV. ...and I haven't changed a plug in that since I was 12 or 13.

Do you think the dealer has them or "save a bug" or would Pep Boys?

EDIT: OUCH the dealer wants $7.35 each and is out of stock....

Pep Boys is a possibility, although they will probably try to sell you junk Platinums instead...

Pete, I know you think I'm kidding, but Save-A-Bug in Riverside has them for $1.99 in stock!

www.sabimports.com

(they will triple the price if I force them and then add the stupid tax on top of that)

Can't beat that with a stick!

Make sure that you gap them to .7mm (or .8mm as long as they're all the same), and don't use anti-seize!

I'm back from Save-A-Bug with my plugs and the april '08 issue of hot VWs. It's funny how a Carrera oil cooler with fan is $899.00, but the same size cooler with fan for a bug is $115.00! (no fan $79)What's up with that?

Why is the porsche crank position sensor twice the price as the BMW one when they are the exact same component.........it's just the way the world spins I guess.
