Registering/Insuring a motorcycle in Spain
I'm in Barcelona for a while and I'm not a citizen. I have a permanent residence in terms of my roommate who lives here, but my name isn't on any papers. I would like to buy a motorcycle, register it and insure it here.
Has anyone gone through this in Europe with a bike or car? My father says he just gave them the address of the hotel, showed them a US license, and paid some money. This was probably 20 years ago, though.
I have a passport, I'm not a fugitive, and I can walk down the street and rent a 1200cc BMW tomorrow...It can't be impossible.
