I need to replace the outer seal between the window and my cab top. Pelican shows two seals, inner and outer. Do I need to do both? Is it possible/easy to just replace the outer seal. The fabric is torn and looks crappy, doesn't leak.

Or... is the process easier if I do both inner and outer???

Did you ever find out anythjing? My outer seal rubber is going. Also - is thelabor trivial to replace the outer seal?

Nope, have not heard anything. Mine is an 86'. I did see a thread here a while back about this process but I can't find it in the archives. I think I did print it out and stick it in my garage files but I believe it was the process for doing both. I only need the outer seal. I'll just call Pelican and see if they know since they sell the parts.

right inner-911 561 187 00
left outer- 911 561 189 66 8VB
right outer-911 561 190 66 8VB
Cabriolet "B" Pillar Seals
1986-ON
left-- 911 561 681 01 8VB
right-911 561 682 01 8VB
I could not be able to tell you what the easiest way or best way to go would be. When I replaced my 1984 top, I used all new hardware and seals. I am not sure about the later tops. Hope some of this will help. Tony.

The info I'm looking for is...

Can I just replace the outer seal, it has fabric on it. The inner seal is fine. I wanted to know if when removing the outer seal the inner seal will get damaged and if you need to replace both at once?
