Default A/C belt, then fan belt broke. A/C belt cut 2 wires on the compressor. Need help...

in determining which wire is the ground.

My compressor is a Denso. There are 2 wires behind the belt pulley. I see that one of the ends of the sheared wires connects to ground. The other connects to a wrapped wire that travels toward the rear passenger fender.

Which one should be the ground wire, the upper most one or the lower one?

With a multimeter check the end of it against the vehicle earth. See which goes to ground. The reconnect (fix)

My multi meter has ohm or volt selections. So, set to ohms and check continuity between each long wire to ground. The one that shows continuity to ground gets connected to the ground strap?

It's just the wires to the electromagnetic coil for the clutch. It doesn't matter which way you reconnect it. The coil doesn't care which way the current travels through it (so to speak).
