Default 87.5 G50 Carrera

Posted in Member to Member but thought I would add in here as well...

Father is selling his very nice street car. Great condition overall - not concours but very nicely maintained with engine build around 65k miles and currently at 108k miles. Shifts very well and I just replaced the tranny fluid with Redline. No clutch slippage, NO leaks, no smoking, and recent leakdown all within 5% in the 90's. Car drives very well and has never let him down. Some rash on front but paint is overall very nice. One small tear in headliner but easily patched. Dash has zero cracks. 930S steering wheel as you can see. Please PM for contact info and I will pass it along. Car located in Charlotte, NC. $22k.

Do mean compression maybe? And it's in the 90s?

If you are interested feel free to PM me to get you in contact with my father. And for the question no I mean leak down (feel free to read up on it below). PPI at buyer expense welcome as this car is in fantastic shape.

You need to clarify your numbers for us imo. Most of us would be looking at leakdown #s in the 5-10% range, and compression #s in the 160-170 (or so) range, while paying attention to consistency between the cylinders. I don't understand (5% in the 90s) either...

95% was the lowest leakdown percentage - all cylinders were between 95% and 100%. I am going by what I was told so that is all I have at the moment. Think my father was thinking of it in the reverse for the leakdown percentage. In any event he has all the documentation on the car and he is either the third or second owner I believe. Sorry for any confusion. Not sure on compression numbers. If interested please let me know and will provide his phone and email via pm.

I'm curious if we are just dealing with semantics here...when most of us say 5% leakdown, are you simply saying the inverse (i.e. 95%) to describe the same thing? I'm not personally interested, but I'd bet other potential buyers will have the same questions...sure sounds like a nice car, good luck!

Semantics yes. Now someone buy this car before I do. It really is a beauty.

Suuuuuure! Already a 3.6 in there and to be honest if I go to a smaller displacement will be in a track car. This car is far to nice for track work. Besides, am on the wait list for the bannana...

Color looks the same as my '89 (Stone gray metallic over linen). Great choice!

Cheers,

Paul.

Beautiful car. I really like the color. You know, as a kid, I had a mint collection of 928 & 911 matchbox cars. As I get older, the notion of building a "real" stable of 911s is becoming even more compelling... Rennlist is so damn addictive. You guys are like pushers. My wife wants to have an intervention...

Good luck. That is a great car.
