WQho's out there?
Just wondering? are there many UK user's of this forum out there. Just registered a couple of day's ago and began reading with interest some of the thread's, with interest. For now though, I need some good advice or opinions on the development of a 1982 911 SC sport I bought a couple of week's ago. I'm looking to develop it for track day use mainly and possibly competition use. I want to keep it road legal too. So, my main considerations are:
Stripping out for weight loss, loosing such thing's as electric motors for windows/sunroof etc., (though I do wish to retain a passenger seat. Thinking of RS look ( I like that personally). Getting rid of the stock exhaust and heat exchangers (I don't mind getting cold in winter) in order to increase power. possibly some gearing changes (not too interested in 150mph top speed - 125 - 130mph would suffice). And any other things that might enhance performance/handling. Currently I have safty Devices 6 point roll cage installed, Securon 4 point harness, Momo steering wheel, Sparco Evo 2 race seat, Stable energies camber truss and stock Bilstine suspension (lowered, with rolled arches). I'm new to developing 911's and need some (economic) advice on where to go from here.
P.S. I'm reasonably good with a spanner. Any help gratefully accepted/considered. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
Cheers
