We pulled this engine to rebuild in the next year or so. I oiled the cams and rockers, oil into the cyls and rotated the engine with plugs out, then plugs back in. Will plug the intake and exhaust. Should I pull the fuel injection and do what with it. I will blow out the lines and injectors with carb cleaner but not sure about how to clean the main unit?? Fuel was a old but would fire.
2nd question if I may ask two. 1975 911S engine. Bought as is and put it into car. Runs well, no smoke, good pressure. I get a click/tap when it gets warm. Seems like #3, drivers side(sound probe). Have reset the valves twice to no avail. Lobe may be scratched. I left the cv/drive shafts out in case there was a problem, so that it will be easy to get back out. Do not know what to look for??
My book--buying a used Porsche arrived-- great!!
