I'm trying to restore my Webers with the light shade of yellow finish they came with. I've tried an alodine process but it didn't work out. The technical rep for the alodine said there was a high content of copper in the aluminum that is causing the alodine to discolor the base metal.

Anyone have real experience with recreating the yellow finish? I believe it is an anti-corrosion treatment.
