Default Cost of CD ignition box?

Anyone know what would be a fair price for a used 930 CD ignition box? Need to start looking for one.
Thanks,
Drew

Not sure how important performance vs originality is to you, but I upgraded t an MSD 6AL for about $320. It senses boost to automatically retard timing and puts out a bigger, longer spark.

You can also send your old Bosche one into Zimms and have it rebuilt for around $300 IIRC. The cost for a NOS is prohibitive....if you can even find it. I also used the MSD 6AL....which comes with a set of rev limiters that you can choose according to your engine specs....or in my case, set it a bit lower just to keep it from overtaxing the engine....may not have been necessary, but it made me more confident. The MSD does run a hotter spark.

call Loren at www.systemsc.com.

He likely can fix yours with a quick turn-around, or sell you a rebuilt unit with yours in trade as a core.

Good luck!

Hmm, that's a good point about the rev limiter. If I ever need to let someone else drive my 911 I could drop the rev limit way down.

Too bad there's no way to protect my 915 trans from damage tho...
