Rain puddle
Hi Everyone,
Got me a '84 Carrera and it's raining here in S. CA. My P-Car is my daily drive and on my way to work I had to drive through a pretty big puddle of water and as I did that (window defroster is on) the windshield instantly fogged up. Now I know the blower motor is in front at the bottom, but what I want to know is, is this normal or not.
Thanks in advance.

What probably happened is that your rear-engined heat exchangers that deliver heat to the cab have pickup up water and instantly boiled that water, forcing it through the heater boxes to your front control panel. You can turn off the blower fan, but you cannot turn of the cooling fan.
I wouldn't be too concerned about it the fogging, but I would try to avoid getting water on your hot exhaust system and air-cooled engine if possible.
