Post Frozen brake piston

'84 911 after changing three of four brake pads, I was working on the last one, passenger front, and the piston seems to be completely unmovable. Outside piston was fine, inside will not move. Does this have to do with having less room since it is the last pad? Or is that just stupid? Do I need to order a new caliper? Any help would be appreciated.

Typical.

Order new or rebuilt caliper.

Take the pad out of the seemingly unmovable piston, and step on your brakes, not too hard. You're not trying to blow the piston out of the caliper, just get some movement started. Go look at the piston. Any movement? Repeat until you see movement. Can you then move it back it? It may be a sign that you need to rebuild your caliper - a rebuilt caliper runs around $100 and new caliper around $200 (Paragon Products, a Rennlist sponsor, has them new for $194). Before you order another caliper, how was the wear on your brake pads? If even on both pads, it's probably just being stubborn.
