Default Limited Slip Additive?

I saw Steve Weiner posted a recommendation of the GM LSD additive for use in the G50 trans. Great information!

I just had one question about it. There obviously other sources for LSD additives and some, like Torco for instance, specifies that there is a GM G additive for GM axles only and and F additive for all others.

Anybody know what the difference is? I'm surprised the GM additive is the choice of Steve, since there's another formulation that technically would be the one to select for the Porsche LSD.

It seems like the GM Traction-Lok "positraction" diffs require something special because of their design?

Thanks,
Kevin

LOL,..I use that GM stuff in ALL Porsche trannys with an LSD if they develop the "stick-slip" problem.

Been doing that since 1973.

That's all I needed to know. Will have my brother source some from the Parts Dept. at Apple Chevrolet when I need it!

Thanks Steve!
