Default Why did I ever sell her......

I was going through my pictures today and found my old 1968 911 Softwindow Targa, I sold it in 2004. After viewing these pictures it kinda makes me wonder why on Earth did I get rid of it.

Oh well, I hope the new owner is still enjoying it.

Here's some photo's.

You guys are going to think I'm insane but I let it go for......... $7,400.00

It was going to need some attention and I had too many other projects going on to devote any time to it, so off it went to the new buyer who actually lives in Germany. It left Tennessee and 6-8 weeks later meet it's new owner overseas.

I sure hope it's still on the road.

ouch! these are in great demand right now - you don't want to know what people were asking for them down at RRIII... & given the ex rate (even then), that was nothing in Euros.
let's all try to keep these cars in the US, shall we?

Im sure they are - its a very nice - and rare car!!
I had to part with my beloved beach buggy to gain the garage space for the 911, I still miss it - it was very loud and lots of fun - again I too hope that the new owner is enjoying himself and looking after the buggy too!

I almost bought a soft window Targa when I was shopping in 2004. Wish I had seen your car advertised. I wanted a soft window Targa or any other 911 in arrow blue or orange.

Never look back, never know what the market will bare.

You had your reasons and you had your fun!

If you lost your interest, so be it.

Nice Buggy diamondcarrera, I'm sure the new owner is very happy.

bargamon......you know you are right, I had different issues 4 years ago. I'm sure all those former Mopar car owners are also alittle sick knowing that some of those cars are selling for 100K, but hey who knew.

Maybe the new owner will find this post and put up some restored photos of the 68.

Yup, simply gorgeous! ...I hate regret. I've learned over the years NOT to sell stuff that hold lots of personal value to me. Of course there are those times where life warrants we *have* to, but barring catastrophe, I've learned to hold on to those precious things we enjoy. At least you know that YOU got to love it for a season!
