I know I promised not to post anymore crappy ebay cars... But this is interesting. What exactly is it? How can they claim the odometer is correct? It isn't an SC right?

The VIN, and production date, shows it to be an early 1978 930 Turbo. Porsche made some significant updates to the 1978 Turbo, where it received a 3.3L engine and brakes based on the 917 brakes. The original color was minerva blue metallic, which you can see on the edges of the metal paint label. Some think the 1978-1980 vintage Turbo's were some of the best made - improved over the 1975 original, but still raw and not as civilized as later Turbo's.
If I were looking at this one, the paint color change would warrant a thorough body inspection. I've seen Turbo's around 75K that need engines rebuilt or major components refreshed, so a thorough PPI would be essential.
I'm not sure where I read it anymore... Information overload... but I read that over half of these turbo's were crashed out of existance because they were hard to control when the turbo kicked. I guess thats part of the "not civilized" part!
