Default Window Tint

I have a car coming in with tinted windows (not factory). Can't stand, don't want it. Sooooooo how do I remove it? Is there a remover in a bottle that will not damage my car? Should I take the car to a window tint place and let a pimpled face 19 year old remove it? My wife won't allow me to play with razor blades. Regards, Mike.

I saw this method on a honda board. It seems relatively harmless if it doesn't work. I would give it a shot.

use amonia. it will soften the plastic and glue and come of pretty easy. i have done it a few times.
just be sure to do it outside with all the windows down sunroof open, doors open. the fumes are pretty gnarly. i had a tint shop tell me that is how they do it.

I've stripped tint off before by lifting a corner and peeling it off. it leaves a lot of glue on the glass so I used thinners on a rag to wipe the glue away. Just have lots of clean rags to use.

Good luck.
