spence I have no problem shipping to australia, I ship 944/951 chips there all the time. But I'm not shipping these out until right around the 15th, which means you wouldn't get it until after your transformation. Otherwise, you would have gotten one.

Regards,
Russell

Ahhh cheers Russell, It's going on the dyno next week for a baseline before the install, I could have done a couple of runs and seen what the chip changed. Best of luck with the chips, I think you're making the right marketing move, no one will buy the unknown and there's no power like word of mouth.

Russell, on friday I was trying to figure out fuel cost for my Astro vs. my 911 and I came up with the same cost per mile. It's right at 22 cents per mile. As you may have read I have a VP Racing gas station by my office and I have been mixing about 25% 100 octane with the 91 octane. it figures out to be the same as what it costs me to drive my Chevy when you figure that the 911 gets much better milage than the chevy. Now to really **** off the locals...it's a wright off 'cause I had to drive it for work. the diduction is something like 30 cents a mile....so I'm getting paid to drive my 911 by the U.S. government. O.K. so I'm only getting credited for driving it, but it feals the same.....

Spence,

I have nothing against Australia OR Australians. Hell, I'm half Australian!

I was just saying that shipping charges to Michigan are less than to Australia; saving Russell some cash.

That said, I AM a jerk. I just wasn't trying to be a jerk THIS time.

I am definitely interested, but I don't even know where to look for a chip (just got my first p-car 3 weeks ago). My guess is that my chip is stock, but you never know until you look I guess.

p.s. I'd be happy to compare your chip to my stock chip and I carry (cough, cough) a lot of weight around here.

Luck, you will find your chip under your driver's seat. You've gotta remove five bolts to get the seat out then four nuts to remove the silver Motronic box and one nut on the cable. If you flip the box over you should be able to see scratches around the tabs on the perimeter of the box. Before opening=no scratches/ after opening=scratches. that should tell you without going all the way into the box.

If you put your seat all the way back you should be able to do it without removing the seat.

Russell, I recently installed one of Steve's chips. If you have not received five responses yet, I'd like the opportunity to do an unbiased comparison of the two products.
