Really? Hmm, I didn't know that. I will have read my manual again when I get back to home.

Im gonna attempt my first jack up with jack thingy extender but first will get some stands and cut down some Ipe wood for support and check that infamous transmission ground strap so elequently pictured in the 101 projects book. Gotta get Peters Book soon also.

Thanks for all the knowledge and passing it down to me. Im sure over time this will all sink in. Learn by doing I suppose is the best. Just gotta put the time in.

I'll keep posting progress if any.

I Checked the strap. A bit oily, but its there and good.

Checked the starter cable. Looked good. The Rubber cover was off, but looked good.

Did a "tech tap" and lowered the car and it started right up.

I am a god!!!!!!! My wife sees me in a different light. I can bring them all back!

Real warm today in Greensboro and that new section of highway called to me. about an hour later I bought her home, wiped her down, cleaned the glass, vacumed and she looks even better than new.

It started right up (its been 5 weeks) but the funny thing it started better than it has previously! The regulater seemed to do its thing and it ran like a top?

Do these cars heal thy self?

The starter to me looks like a rebuilt one but I think I'll put in a high torque new modl that seems to hold up better to the gunk. That one area seams like the the only oily area under the car.

Thanks to all here for the advice!

I now feel like this is MY car now!!!!!! The grease is under my nails tonite!
