Congrats on the new pcar - love the wheels (and the ride height)...
What kind of suspension set-up do you have on there?
What differences jumped out at you from the '84?
Thanks! I think she sits just right myself, but I am biased!
The suspension is Euro M030 with Bilsteins.
As for differences... shifting is the biggest obvious one. The '84 wasn't hard exactly, but took some thinking and finesse. This is one that it would seem nearly anyone who can drive a manual could get in and get her going without crunching, fighting and cussing.
The obvious quickness of it is amazing as well and she sticks to the road beyond what I ever pushed the 84. I'm sure a good deal of that is the C4, but the suspension and tires are much improved over my stock suspension before.
The thing that amazes me are the similarities really. It's been over a year since I last drove my '84, but they have a very familiar feel... even though a bit more refined, still pretty darned raw (love the exhaust sound when accelerating).
We were on the freeway the entire 500 mile trip home, but as I get more seat time on the twisties, more differences may stick out.

Get the car you want and move ? Mine's euro height, and I hit the front tow hooks a couple of times (but not on my driveway) before I figured it out. I now use a "slow, angled" approach on anything that's close, and haven't had an issue since.
